Shimla: Continuing its tradition of community service, the Lions Club Shimla has donated stretchers worth ₹85,000 to Civil Hospital Khaneri at Rampur Bushahr in Shimla district to help address the shortage of emergency equipment at the hospital.

Sharing the information, Zone Chairperson Man Mohan Verma said the Lions Club, guided by its motto “We Serve,” remains actively involved in social and humanitarian activities and is always ready to extend support wherever needed. He added that the club continuously works to encourage more people to join hands in community service and contribute to building a better society.

President Gopal Vaid said the stretchers were provided following a request from the hospital to meet the growing needs of patients. The donation will help ensure prompt medical attention during emergencies and strengthen healthcare support for people in the rural areas of Rampur and adjoining regions.

The stretchers were handed over in the presence of Vikramaditya Singh, who appreciated the initiative and thanked the Lions Club for its noble gesture in supporting public healthcare services.

Among those present on the occasion were Project Chairperson O. P. Mehta, members K. R. Sharma, Anil, K. C. Sharma, Sanjiv, Devinder Mittal and Pradeep along with other members of the Lions Club.
