Breaking: Massive Landslide Hits Labour Camp on Yamunotri Highway, 9 Workers Missing
Dehradun, June 29: A massive landslide triggered by heavy rain struck near Silai Band on the Yamunotri Highway late last night, sweeping away a labour camp and a significant stretch of the road.
So far, 20 workers have been safely rescued and shifted to Paligaad.
➡️ 9 labourers are still missing, and a frantic search operation is underway.
➡️ Around 10–12 meters of the highway has been washed away in the slide.
Teams from SDRF, NDRF, and the Uttarakhand Police are on-site, carrying out intense rescue operations in challenging terrain.
Authorities have urged pilgrims and travellers to stay put at safe locations until further notice.
