United Nations’ security advisor for India and Bhutan  Elias Legesse Woldeyes today  met with DGP Himachal Pradesh Sanjay Kundu   to oversee the safety and security of UN property and assets and officials working in Himachal Pradesh.

Though it was a routine visit of the UN delegation, DGP apprised them of the imminent danger of landslides, floods and fall from steep slopes and fires and other hazards to take precautionary measure to preempt the accidents.

Kundu told UN delegation that Himachal was a peaceful state, yet they need to take precautionary measures for safety of life, limb and property,  considering the topography of the hill state.  

He said the UN officials had a coordination meeting with the HP police  for safety of its  assets and property and its staff working in Himachal.
